On Christmas Day Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to set off a bomb on Northwest Flight 253. Thankfully the bomb failed while a passenger named Jasper Schuringa, jumped over seats to subdue him.
According to csmonitor.com they stated that "the answer to the latest threat is full-body scans. But critics of the technology call them “virtual strip searches” because they generate a detailed image of the person being scanned. "
Personally I don't see why anyone would object to this. Let someone digitally scan you and possibly see you naked...or let a terrorist bring a bomb onto your plan and potentially kill you all. Options are pretty clear to me.
