First Case of Swine Flu in Dog

According to The Wall Street Journal, the first case of swine flu has been found in a dog living in New York. They state that "The 13-year-old mixed breed male, which is recovering, apparently caught the virus from his owner" so it is apparent that the dog actually did 'catch' it from his owner, however they also say that "... there's no evidence that the flu strain can be transmitted from a pet to a person.".

So in other words, if you suspect you or your animal may be sick - try not to rub yourself all over your pet...even though for some that might just be too hard not too :)
