James Owen Sullivan, known best as the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold was found dead at his home in Huntington Beach this past Monday.
There has not been a released statement of what happened. His band has posted on their website that "It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy (The Rev) Sullivan".
Considering James Sullivan was only 28 years old, I personally would suspect drug use. Successful Band + Lots of Money = probably equal drug overdose.

Tyra Banks Quits Talk Show
Former model gone talk show host, Tyra Banks will be quitting her daytime talk show after this season of 'Trya Banks Show'
According to Tyra she has stated that "This will be the last season of 'The Tyra Show," and that "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years." Personally I think that last part just sounded a little creepy. But I guess she has done all she can on that show, no more dressing like a man or going on "without makeup".
She does say that "My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are" and by this she is talking about her new show "True Beauty"...oh what does Tyra have in store for us this time, one can only wonder.

Christmas Day Terrorist Attack
On Christmas Day Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to set off a bomb on Northwest Flight 253. Thankfully the bomb failed while a passenger named Jasper Schuringa, jumped over seats to subdue him.
According to csmonitor.com they stated that "the answer to the latest threat is full-body scans. But critics of the technology call them “virtual strip searches” because they generate a detailed image of the person being scanned. "
Personally I don't see why anyone would object to this. Let someone digitally scan you and possibly see you naked...or let a terrorist bring a bomb onto your plan and potentially kill you all. Options are pretty clear to me.

First Case of Swine Flu in Dog
According to The Wall Street Journal, the first case of swine flu has been found in a dog living in New York. They state that "The 13-year-old mixed breed male, which is recovering, apparently caught the virus from his owner" so it is apparent that the dog actually did 'catch' it from his owner, however they also say that "... there's no evidence that the flu strain can be transmitted from a pet to a person.".

American Airlines Crash
An American Airlines plane has crashed when landing in heavy rain at a Jamaica airport.
148 passengers were aboard when the crash occurred. According to the jamaicaobserver.com the plane"...broke in two after landing at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston shortly after 10:00 pm Tuesday."
So far 40 passengers have been reported to have injuries and have been taken to Kingston Public Hospital.

14 Year old Laura Dekker has been found in the Caribbean territory of St. Maarten after running away from home. The Dutch girl was the youngest person to want to attempt to sail by herself around the world in her boat, Guppy. However she was dismissed from court for being too young.

Brittany Murphy Dies
Yes it is in fact true, Brittany Murphy has died today, December 20, 2009, only five days before Christmas.
According to celebgalz.com it was Murphy's mom (Sharon Murphy) who found her unconscious in the shower around 8 a.m. Murphy lived with her husband - Simon Monjack, in L.A.
This comes as a shock since Murphy was only 32 and in seemingly good health. However I personally suspect either an eating disorder or drugs, but we will have to wait for the autopsy results to know the truth. For now they suspect cardiac arrest (heart attack).
Murphy was rushed to the LA to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. However they were unsuccessful reviving her and pronounced her dead on arrival.

Drunk 4 Year Old
So you must be thinking "A drunk 4 year old? Yeah sure..." well I thought the same thing. Apparently little 4 year old Hayden Wright according to cbsnews.com was "...found wandering his Chatanooga neighborhood in the middle of the night, beer in hand, wearing a little girl's dress taken from under a neighbor's Christmas tree. "
April Wright (21) is the boys mother, who woke up at "1:45am and panicked when she realized he was missing."
So why might a 4-year old boy from Tennessee want to go out drinking?
Well according to absnews April Wright stated that "Hayden runs away "trying to find his father," Wright said. "He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that's where his daddy is."

Dexter
The end of season 4 of the popular TV show 'Dexter' was certainty nothing like you would have expected. I for one did not see the end twist coming- not something every TV show would dare to do. I am on one hand excited to see what will happen next season and yet I just don't see how they could continue the show without such a vital character. But I'm sure they will have something happen that continues it to keep our interest.

Currently the big to do on Facebook is that no longer can only people in your 'Network' see you, but that quite literally everyone can see you now-unless you change those privacy settings.
You should of seen some sort of announcement when logging in about it (you probably should read that). Personally I have my settings already set to private and I did not click "Let Google index me" it's just not something I want. However I can see it being very handy if you are say someone who is marketing themselves- then I could see that.

Apparently they were dealing with an alleged terrorist that was "supposedly responsible for the murders of those four Blackwater employees"and they hit them in the mouth of stomach. Now I don't understand why they would be prosecuted for this- They were just doing their job and I'm sure this alleged terrorist didn't want to be arrested so I'm sure he struggled.

Another update in the seemingly never ending new discoveries in the life of Tiger Woods.
According to TMZ, Tiger Woods was "...Admitted to Health Central Hospital the day after Thanksgiving as an overdose." and that "...admissions chart lists "OD" and that he was having trouble breathing". The article goes on to list that two drugs he reportedly to have taken were "Ambien and Vicodin".
So to those who are keeping count Tiger Woods is now a sex addict, drug addict and cheating on his wife. I'm almost afraid to ask this... but could his image get any worse?

Michelle Obama Ape
According to newsnet14.com the popular search engine "Google" has issued an apology because of a "racially offensive picture of Michelle Obama" that apparently a site was hosting. This picture apparently of Michelle Obama was distorted to look like that of a monkey. Now I do believe they did things like this to Bush...but I don't recall him crying about it or Google making any apologies for it.

Lakewood Police Shooting
According to MSMBC early this morning a shooting broke out Parkland Washington while police officers were having coffee at Forza Coffee Company shop in a strip mall before they headed off to start their work day. Four police officers have been pronounced dead.
County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer has been quoted by msnbc saying "This was more of an execution. He walked in with the mind of shooting police officers,".
They also go on to describe the suspect who got away as "scruffy"-faced black man in his 20s or 30s, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 and wearing a black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans."

Dilley Sextuplets

Tiger Woods Car Accident
Golf plater Tiger Woods (33) has been "seriously injured" in a car wreck early Friday morning (November 27, 2009) according to huffingtonpost.com they are quoted saying "... patrol reported Woods' injuries as serious, though Woods spokesman Glenn Greenspan said the golfer was treated at a hospital and released in good condition." and that "The patrol said alcohol was not involved, though the accident remains under investigation and charges could be filed."
Woods backed out of his driveway early Friday in Florida, hitting both a fire hydrant then driving right into a neighbors lawn, hitting their tree.
I don't know about you all but I don't think pulling out of your own driveway should be too complicated...least not to warrants hitting a hydrant...then to proceed to go into a neighbors yard. Sure their are freak accidents out there...just seems a little suspicious to me.

It was a pretty boring performance to say the least...basically him running around... rolling around...shoving faces into his crotch...oh and making out with a random piano guy? Thankfully most of the actions were edited out for the at home viewers. Honestly who wants to see that anyway?

Lopez was performing last night at the America Music Awards and while climbing a staircase of humans with high heels I might add, she jumps down from the tower and lands on her butt. Now I'm sure she is fine considering just what she fell on... we all know what I'm referring to of course. However she gets right back up and doesn't even seem phased by her fall and continues her performance without any further falls.

New Moon Bootleg Full Movie
Ok, I lied. I don't actually have a bootleg movie of "New Moon". Caught your attention though right?
Anyway I'm sure plenty of people are now searching for a way to see New Moon without having to go out into the daylight to see it, because they think that a.) they themselves are vampires and may risk becoming sparkly if they step into the sun or b.) they are not willing to risk being caught buying a ticket for such a movie as to be labeled a "Twilight Fan". Both are somewhat reasonable explanations, however you won't have any luck here.
Yeah this is a waste of a post, sorry Twilight fans but you may have to venture out of your homes eventually.

According to the postchronicle.com Sammy Sosa is looking quite pale lately. Even stirring up rumors that he is lightening his skin color (Just like the Michael Jackson bizarre skin color changes).
Personally I don't understand why you would want to purposely make yourself pale. Don't tons of people pay millions each year to tanning salons trying to keep or get a tan? Sure staying out of the sun or tanning beds will prevent future skin cancers and unnecessary wrinkles, but I'm sure chemically changing your skin color isn't exactly the best thing for you to do either.

Popular singer Rihanna has broken her silence for the first time about her relationship with Chris Brown.
The interview took place on 20/20, with Diane Sawyer. She spoke about how she was embarrassed she was that she went back to Chris Brown after the assault.
According to Merinews.com Rihanna stated in the interview that "...Chris put her in a headlock twice and even bit her ears and fingers."
Further on Rihanna said “I'm a human being, and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I'm not perfect. Also it's pretty natural for that to be the first reaction. ... It's completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself. The minute the physical wounds go away you want this thing to go away. This is a memory you don't want to have ever again. "

Why Can't I Own a Canadian
Weird title huh? Yeah I thought the same thing when I read that the popular search engine Google, gets some very strange or "disturbing" searches.
However after reading on a forum (check it out here) addressing these "disturbing" searches, they seem to be pretty normal. And the "Why Can't I Own a Canadian" is really just an essay, not actually wondering why someone could not legally own a Canadian.

Fort Hood Shooting
Update: 13 people have been confirmed dead and 30 people have been injured at the Fort Hood Army base located in Texas.

Brandon Patch
Brandon Patch in 2003 was struck and killed by a baseball that had been hit with an aluminum Louisville Slugger baseball bat during a baseball game.
Now his parents have sued and won a in a case against the people who made the aluminum bat (Hillerich & Bradsby).
And what grounds did they claim to have to go and sue Hillerich & Bradsby? Because they claim they were not warned how dangerous aluminum bats really were.
Now I had an aluminum bat growing up and I remember quite well the day I accidentally swung it too far back, hitting myself in the back of the head (smart I know) and I remember it hurting pretty bad...but is that the manufacturers fault that I hit myself in the head? I think not. Should these parents have been awarded anything for their sons death? I also think not. As sad as it is, they should know with pretty much any sport there are dangers. If they did not know sports can be dangerous, then shame on them for not getting informed and letting their son play.
We really have a sue-happy society, don't we?

Casino Denies Man 166 Million Jackpot
A man by the name of Bill Seebeck won 166 Million Jackpot last sunday when playing slots at Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa.
However the casino has denied him the right to this money, claiming their machine "malfunctioned".
Not like these Casinos can't afford to pay him off...they have way to much money as it is.

V Tv Series 2009
A brand new TV series called "V" starts tonight, November 3 on ABC.
"V" is based on the 1983 miniseries V. Although they plan to only air four episodes then wait until March 2010 to show more to cluster them together? I'm not sure how I feel about that?

Amelia Earhart Movie
They have finally made a movie about Amelia Earhart. Personally I thought the trailer looked good, however after reading a few re-views it seems the critics did not care for this movie and were pretty harsh with it.

Flu Shot Cheerleader
Could a simple flu shot give someone a neurological disorder?
Well according to Desiree Jennings it did.
Desiree was a healthy 25 year old who got the flu shot. However now seven weeks later, isn't doing so well with side effects consisting of involuntary body movements.
I remember back in college one of my professors in a health and disease class telling a story about a friend of getting a vaccination to go on a trip overseas, but had adverse reactions causing her muscles to stiffen that became permanent. A hefty price to pay for a trip now isn't it?
So are all vaccinations a gamble? To me it seems so, since you just never know how your body will react to a dead strain being injected into your body.

At first I thought this was a joke, but people are actually criticizing Target for carrying an "Illegal Alien" Costume (see the rest of the article here).
Well for anyone living in California and knowing there are an extreme amount of just that (Illegal Aliens) milling about, I think it is hilarious.
They actually ask "Why is Target Fueling the Fire?". Are they serious? Get hit in a car accident by one of these illegal aliens and guess what- you must shell out the cash to fix your car, because no, they do not have insurance (yes this is true, just happened to a friend of mine about 2 months ago).
Target, even though you apologized, I am happy to see that for a while you offered such a costume.
Further on in the article someone by the name of Olmos claims that "received a number of others this year about costumes that she said are racist and degrading."
Really? Is this all some people have to do? Look around and pick out things they believe as racist or degrading?
Ugh, give me a break. How ridiculous.

Baby Stroller Train Video
This video caught by security cameras is crazy. You actually see it happen as the stroller just rolls away from the mother at just the right time for the train to pass, everyone rushes, then turns away after you see the train run right over baby and stroller.
Apparently she forgot to put on the brake?
Amazingly enough the baby actually lives. Though nothing else seems too as they found bits and pieces of the stroller all over the place.

National Coming Out Day 2009
Well they have it now. 'National Coming Out Day' is going on today, Sunday October 11, 2009.
And of course it would not be complete without Lady gaga showing up to give a speech which you can watch right here on youtube. Personally the only thing I found to be shocking and worth reading/seeing was that Lady gaga actually wore pants!? I did not know she was capable of wearing a regular outfit without a birds nest on her face?
Anyway if you would like to read about the actual event and not just about Lady gaga and her pants, then go right ahead.

A report has come out that a stimulus for California has saved over 10,000 jobs.
And apparently California has been given a $30 billion dollar relief and still expects an overall estimated amount of $85 billion.
