Yes it is in fact true, Brittany Murphy has died today, December 20, 2009, only five days before Christmas.
According to celebgalz.com it was Murphy's mom (Sharon Murphy) who found her unconscious in the shower around 8 a.m. Murphy lived with her husband - Simon Monjack, in L.A.
This comes as a shock since Murphy was only 32 and in seemingly good health. However I personally suspect either an eating disorder or drugs, but we will have to wait for the autopsy results to know the truth. For now they suspect cardiac arrest (heart attack).
Murphy was rushed to the LA to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. However they were unsuccessful reviving her and pronounced her dead on arrival.
